Stories about Linda

I had the tremendous blessing to spend the last seven weeks with my dear sister and friend Linda. We laughed together, cried together, prayed & worshiped together. They said I was the blessing but I disagree, it was me who was blessed. Time or space doesn’t afford to share the many memories I had with her. One in particular which she would often mention, was when she would pick out the worship songs for Sunday Morning. Pastor Bob would go over the message with her as we would pick songs that were appropriate for that Sunday. It was sweet time of fellowship. Personally though, she always had a saying which puts Gods attribute of omniscience so clearly on display “God’s in Charge”! Three simple words makes life so much easier. Thank you my dear friend. I will sorely miss you but I am so excited that you are in the presence of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

Love, Chrissy

Jessi told me to write something about you. There's so much to say I didn't know where to start. I learned so much from you. I can say with out a doubt I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for you and your life lessons, advice, sense of humor and most importantly your faith. Your unwavering faith is admirable to say the least. You have been through so much but still you found comfort in God in the worst of situations. I've been in awe for so long, you always took everything so calmly, or at least you made it seem that way. You taught me not to take myself or anything so serious. You laughed at things I always thought you weren't supposed to and always told me it was o k to. We had so much we shared love for. You loved the beach as much if not more than I do. Almost every time I saw you in California we walked the beach. We didn't go in, but you always said "I have to wet my feet at least". You loved that I always brought my camera to take pictures of the ocean life and the flowers on the walk. You would say "look at how pretty that one is, take a picture of that one", and as often as I could I would take pictures of you smiling and enjoying yourself, you didn't realize I was taking pictures of you. My favorite are the candid ones. Of all the years I've known you, those are my favorite memories of you. Thank you for being you. Thank you for giving me a place to go that felt like home, for always talking to me about God, for treating me like your own, for teaching me how not to take myself so serious. Thank you for being such a good Nana to Harlow. She loves you so much. We all share a passion for art. I think those are the memories Harlow will always have of you, making crosses and art. I've told you in the last couple of years how much of an impact you have made on me, you seemed surprised. I'm glad I told you, but you'll never really know how much. There is so much to say but I'll just end this by saying I love you, and like you say "we'll see each other again". And I will always look for "Glimpses of His Glory" because that was important to you, and it is burned into my memory. Until we meet again. ❤
